2006 Dispatcher of the Year

In April 2006, our public safety dispatchers nominated peers for the 2006 Dispatcher of the Year Award. From the nominees, members of the Management Team selected Terri Minogue as the recipient of the 2006 Dispatcher of the Year Award.

Terri will be presented with her award from the Board of Directors at our July meeting. Until then she enjoys a privileged parking spot and the prestige of the 2006 Award winner.

Terri began her career in 1990 with the Santa Cruz Police Department as a police dispatcher. She joined SCCECC in 1996 and was later promoted to Senior Public Safety Dispatcher. In addition to her duties as a lead public safety dispatcher, Terri is a Communications Training Officer, Emergency Medical Dispatcher, Emergency Response Team member, and a California Law Enforcement Teletype System trainer. In 2004, she was appointed as Assistant Accreditation Manager where her contributions were instrumental in the Center's successful bid to become nationally recognized as the first 9-1-1 Center in California to be accredited with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) in March of 2004.

National Dispatcher's Week, April 2006, was a solid week of celebrating. Celebrating included open house for User Agencies, Family Day, and treats from Supervisors and co-workers.
